The Mumbai Racing Season is well underway and Sunday, 21st December, 2014 witnessed the running of the second biggest classic of the Indian Horse Racing Calendar ‘The ABV Nucleus Indian 2000 Guineas’. Hosted by RWITC ‘The ABV Nucleus Indian 2000 Guineas’ is one of the most prestigious races in the Indian Triple Crown. The high-profile extravaganza at Mahalaxmi race course saw an eclectic blend of luxury, glamour, sport and music. Bollywood Diva Shriya Saran, Ace Director Milan Luthria, Fashion Designer Jenny REI, Narenda Kumar Ahmad, graced the occasion and added glamour quotient to the evening.
Advet Bhambhani, Chairman, Advet Bhambhani Ventures, brings new blood to Indian horse racing stepping in magnanimously as the sponsor of the ABV Nucleus Indian 2000 Guineas grade 1 this year. The Indian 2000 Guineas aimed this year to become one of the most important dates in the social calendar of Mumbai, and stood out from the other events with ABV sponsoring the first ever Sundowner that Mahalaxmi racecourse saw this year. With Bhavishyavani Future Soundz on board and the Ryno Saxo collective on saxophone enthralling the crowds, the race day saw a lot of activities which kept the guests enthralled.
Commenting on this association, Advet Bhambhani, Chairman, Advet Bhambhani Ventures says, “I’ve always been interested in horse racing, and hope to continue this association for many years to come as a sponsor of this prestigious race. Apart from this I also plan to own horses and race them very soon”.

Talking about this sought after event and the prestigious horses in the running, Chaiti Narula, Racing promoter & Director, Constellation said “Owned by the Turf Baron M A M Ramaswamy and ridden by Suraj Nareddu ‘Be Safe’ was the winner right from the beginning.”
The grand evening culminated with a chic Sundowner. Upping the fashion quotient on the turf there were models who were donning the glamourous racing outfits which included prominent names from the fashion designing industry – Ensemble by Jenny REI, Coral Como and Rinaldi Polo that specialises in equestrian apparels.
